Waterjet Drilling
LAI's proven team of engineers and technicians understands how to optimize tooling, feed rates and material handling to reduce your costs. LAI has an extensive database of cutting and drilling parameters for more than 1,100 applications in waterjet drilling.

Precision drilling in Hastalloy.
LAI drills millions of precision holes in a variety of materials in which other processes such as electron beam machining or EDM are either too expensive or too slow.

A dual-head waterjet drills a series of 120,000 holes in a 3/8-inch 304 stainless steel plate. The plate is later rolled to form an extrusion tube used in an assembly to manufacture raw plastic pellets. LAI has drilled more than 2.4 million holes during the water jet drilling project.
Angled and Shaped Holes
LAI is a leader in precision drilling using waterjet technology, including drilling of angled and shaped holes. LAI's waterjets can drill precision holes in any material, including titanium, steel and composites. LAI has manufactured titanium screen panels with 27,000 diamond-shaped holes with +/- 0.0015 inches tolerances. Are you also in need of waterjet cutting for medical or other precision applications? LAI offers a range of waterjet cutting services.

Waterjets Can Process Any Material
LAI maintains an extensive database of cutting parameters for a wide variety
of materials including titanium, carbon steel, stainless steel, stone,
copper, aluminum, composites, linoleum, foam, rubber, plastics and many
more.

Waterjet machines silicon
Waterjet is an effective means of processing silicon, including the cutting of shapes and the drilling of small, consistently shaped holes.
