LAI earns 100-percent quality rating from GE Aviation
Manufactures more than 61,0000 defect-free parts in 2010

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 11, 2011 — LAI International, Inc., strategic supplier of precision components and subassemblies for original equipment manufacturers, today announced it has received a 100-percent quality rating from GE Aviation.
LAI International maintained a 100-percent quality rating in GE Aviation’s 2010 Quality Scorecard, manufacturing 61,846 defect-free components. LAI supplies a series of precision-manufactured aerospace components and out-sourced operations for GE Aviation.
“This is another example of stellar performance from our team,” Bree Costas, V.P. of Program Management and Site Leader of Rich Technology International, LAI’s facility in Scarborough, Maine. “It shows how our employees are dedicated to providing GE Aviation — and all of our customers — the highest standards of quality, value and customer service.”
LAI coordinates a manufacturing process flow for the components, including laser-beam machining, welding, electrical-discharge machining, including sinker EDM, fast hole-drilling EDM, and wire EDM.
“LAI excels in achieving success where other contract manufacturing companies have failed,” Rick Scott, Quality Manager at the LAI’s production site in Scarborough, Maine, said. “The team strives for continuous improvement with all of our processes and the manufacturing of complex components as demonstrated by becoming the first manufacture in the world Jan. 19, 2010, to be qualified for Nadcap accreditation for conventional machining.”
