LAI International facility earns Pratt & Whitney source certification



SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ., Feb. 22, 2011 — LAI International, Inc., strategic supplier of precision components and subassemblies for original equipment manufacturers, today announced its Maine facility has received special source certification from its customer Pratt & Whitney.
   Rich Technology International, an LAI International company, received certification for Laboratory Control at Source for two major Pratt & Whitney facilities. Pratt & Whitney authorized the LAI facility to operate under a system of Laboratory Control at Source and the quality achievement supplier program for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford, and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
   “The Laboratory Control at Source system was established to expedite release of material by establishing chemical and metallurgical quality control organizations at LCS supplier facilities to exercise the controls and perform the testing which would otherwise be done by Pratt & Whitney’s Material Control Laboratory,” said Rick Scott, Quality Manager, Rich Technology International.
