SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ., June 29, 2010 — LAI International, Inc., a strategic supplier of precision components and subassemblies for original equipment manufacturers, has been named to the FAB 40 list of most-successful metal-fabricating companies.
   The award honors the most aggressive and successful metal fabricating companies in the United States, according to Dan Davis, editor-in-chief, The Fabricator.
   “The No. 3 company, LAI International, Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz., which has manufacturing locations all over the U.S., is a contract manufacturer of precision-engineered components for advanced-technology industries,” Davis said in an article on the FAB 40 published in the June 2010 edition of The Fabricator.
   LAI was the top precision contract manufacturing company named to the FAB 40.
   “To our knowledge, no other magazine has attempted to put together such a list,” Davis said. “The FAB 40 not only gives the metal fabricating companies — those on the list and perhaps those wanting to be on it — a chance to see how they compare with other companies, but also provides a glimpse into where the industry is headed.”
   Companies in the FAB 40 reported $618.8 4 million in revenues in 2009, compared to a forecasted $637.4 million this year. A total of 25 companies on the list reported revenues are expected to be up this year.
