Lockheed Martins Aeronautics Material Management Center
Lockheed Martins Aeronautics Material Management Center named LAI Midwest as a STAR supplier in 1997. As of January 2000, only 191 members from a production supplier base of nearly 5,000 have been granted the award status, which requires a minimum entrance criteria of a certified Statistical Process Control system, plus a six-month demonstration of a zero-percent rejection rate at point of inspection and zero non-conformance costs at the AMMC sites.
LAI is a key supplier of waterjet-processed screen panels for Lockheed Martin's F-22 project. We are proud to be able to offer precision waterjet cutting for aerospace applications.

Award suppliers such as our water jet job shop must also demonstrate a 98 percent performance to delivery schedule, favorable price trends and purchase order administration. Award suppliers, whether providing waterjet aerospace technology or other services, earn numerous benefits, including a reduction of inspection and audit at their facility, a more favorable position in the contract bid and award process, and recognition of their superior performance in the marketing arena.
Lockheed Martin and its customers likewise share benefits in higher supplier product quality, improved delivery performance, and associated cost savings.
