LAI Management Team
Stewart Cramer, President
Cramer was named president of LAI in 2003, succeeding Robert Ulrich, the
late founder and President of LAI. Cramer, who joined LAI in 1999, was
promoted from the position of Vice President of Business Development and
Engineering. He previously held the position of Director of Aerospace
Products. In addition to his experience in business development, product
management, sales and marketing, Cramer has more than 16 years of experience
in the design, analysis and manufacture of high-performance aerospace
structures. He was a program manager on the Joint Strike Fighter Project
with Northrop Grumman Corporation, El Segundo, Calif. Cramer has a master's
degree in structural mechanics from the University of Southern California
and a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of
Arizona.
John Rogers,
Vice President of Operations
Rogers has held various positions at LAI, including Plant Manager of LAI's
Phoenix operation and Project Manager. Rogers has more than 25 years of manufacturing and program management
experience in both large, publicly owned corporations as well as
small, privately owned companies. He has extensive manufacturing management
experience ranging from high-volume, low-cost commodity products to complex,
custom assemblies for military and aerospace applications. Rogers has held manufacturing operations
management positions with Microsemi Corporation, Kulicke & Soffa, and
Motorola. Rogers earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the
University of Rhode Island and pursued graduate studies at Arizona State
University and the Thunderbird School of International Management. He is a
graduate of the Motorola Executive Institute.
Ed Chapman,
Vice President of Business Development
Chapman has more than 20 years of experience in sales
and marketing in high-technology industries. He is managing partner
and co-founder of VizQuest Ventures, a business development consulting firm.
He was vice president of business development and managing director for
ZEFER, an e-business consulting company. He was vice president of sales and
marketing for SYSTECH, a web-based supply chain management software company.
He was sales director at ANSYS, a product development automation software
company. He also held positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, MatrixOne,
Inc. and Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Chapman has a bachelor's degree in
mechanical engineering from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Penn., and a
master's degree in business from Babson College, Wellesley, Mass.
